Last week I attended my very first NCECA!!! The National Counsel on Education for the Ceramic Arts holds an annual conference for ceramic artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and students. This year it was held in Detroit, so I was able to experience this with over 20 (I’m pretty sure) other Ohio University art students :)))

I learned so much being here and saw so much wonderfully inspiring artwork. I was also able to participate in their cup sale (try to spot the Joy of Brookside mug in the first photo)!

I am in such awe of everything this conference had to offer, and I am so excited to share more of it with you all!!

So so much of my joy comes from being in the studio, and not just when creating. The community that comes with this art is truly so beautiful and everyday I wake up so grateful for that. I have so many good memories already and I am so happy I have a lifetime to make more:))

I feel like an insane person from all the time I have been spending in my studio the past two weeks🫠 I have been prepping for Moon Market (YAY), but I truly underestimated just how long it takes me to build up stock lol. Hours upon hours of me holed up in that little room in my basement and I miss the sun a little bit🌥️ Also I think I need to apologize to my Mom and sister for the hours of singing they have had to listen to (I REALLY LIKE MY PLAYLIST AND DIDN’T KNOW THEY COULD HEAR ME)😭

I had some footage for you guys, but the lighting and angle are absolutely heinous and probably wouldn’t make such great reels. I do however have some crumbs in my camera roll. Mugs, vases, pitchers…
